The aim of the Akdeniz University Department of Psychiatry is to provide both high-standard specialist training and quality healthcare services. Akdeniz University Department of Psychiatry trains psychiatrists with a high level of clinical competence in the field of psychiatry in line with scientific and ethical principles through specialist training.

History

The Department of Psychiatry at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine was established in 1970 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Çetin BÜYÜKBERKER. In our department, undergraduate and postgraduate education is provided to our research assistant physicians and medical students.

Currently, our clinic consists of 1 Professor, 4 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor, 23 Research Assistants, and 2 psychologists.
