History
Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, was established in 1979 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Güler AKSU.
Facility & Services
Our department works in the 1267-bed teaching hospital located in the Akdeniz University Campus. In this hospital, the Ophthalmology Clinic has a 12-bed ward and 3 operating rooms in the Outpatient Surgery Center. In addition to 4 general outpatient clinics, there are consultation, retina, uvea, glaucoma, cornea, oculoplasty, ocular oncology, strabismus, pediatric ophthalmology and contact lens units.
