History
The Pathology Department has been an essential component of Akdeniz University Hospital since its establishment. It has contributed significantly to clinical diagnostics, medical education, and research activities. Over the years, the department has continuously developed in line with national and international pathology standards.
Facility & Services
The department is equipped with modern histopathology, cytopathology, and molecular pathology laboratories. Facilities include advanced microscopy units, immunohistochemistry and molecular diagnostic systems, and digital pathology infrastructure. Close integration with clinical departments ensures timely and accurate diagnostic reporting.
