
Forensic Medicine
The Forensic Medicine Unit is responsible for the preparation of forensic reports upon the request of the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, judicial authorities, and law enforcement agencies; the execution of laboratory analyses; the performance of autopsies on behalf of the Antalya Group Presidency of the Council of Forensic Medicine; and the preparation of related documentation.
History
The academic staff of the unit comprises one Professor and two Assistant Professors. In addition to the academic personnel, the medical team includes one specialist physician and seven research assistants holding doctoral degrees. The department is equipped with one outpatient clinic and one laboratory facility.
Facility & Services
Curently, the Department of Forensic Medicine , managed by 3 active faculty members, is providing Forensic Science education to undergraduate and postgraduate as well as preparing reports requested by law enforcement or judicial authorities, and expertises required by individual applicatiors.
