The Urology Department provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for diseases of the urinary system and male reproductive organs. The department focuses on evidence-based care, minimally invasive techniques, and advanced diagnostic methods. Services are delivered with a patient-centered approach covering both functional and oncological urology.
History
Akdeniz University Hospital, Department of Urology, was founded in 1982 by Prof. Dr. It was founded by Metin Sevük. It offers high-level treatment options to its patients from Antalya and surrounding provinces with the up-to-date diagnosis and treatment methods it has applied since its establishment. He also leads other urology specialists working in this region.
Facility & Services
So far, 41 research assistants from our clinic have completed their training and are working as academicians and urology specialists in different centers of Turkey. 7 of the research assistants who completed their urology specialization in our clinic are Prof. Dr, 3 of them are Associate Professors, and 2 of them are Assistant Professors. Associate Professor serves as. There are 3 active professors, 1 associate professor and 1 Dr. in the Department of Urology. It provides services with a faculty member and 15 research assistants. While outpatient services are provided in 3 to 4 separate outpatient clinics every day, postoperative, emergency and inpatient follow-up/treatment is provided in our 34-bed service.
